Communication

It is strange that in spite of knowing the advantages of good communication, everyone goofs up in the process. It could be due to lack of intelligence,knowledge, practice or luck. But even though everyone understands this, no one tries to help the other person in communicating. Why does this happen? Advantages of good communication are for both the sides. But usually, one tries to be little smarter and confuse the other side instead of helping the process. This one-up-man ship  comes in the way of good communication. How can we improve the situation?

If there is a good understanding amongst the two sides, this will not happen. One shall automatically understand the other side even without expression of all the facts. One shall try to put himself in other person's shoes. But then, how shall this understanding  develop? Only through good communication. Is it not so? It is difficult to know what is first? Understanding or communication? Is it like chicken and egg? Very difficult to say what comes first.

Though either chicken or egg has to come first to get the other, UNDERSTANDING & COMMUNICATION can go together. I think, this can be be a good starting point for improving both communication and understanding.

Aimless soldier

Soldier is supposed to follow the discipline of the group.He can have his views expressed in the right forum and influence others' thinking. However, when this is done his role is over. Later on he is expected to follow the command of the superiors. His morale shall be affected adversely if he does not get the right directions and shall be forced to follow the orders blindly. He shall follow the orders like a soldier but the goal may not be achieved. He should follow the orders with conviction and should not act like an aimless soldier. It is the duty of the commander to convince him about the fruitfulness of the plan so that the results are achieved. Very few commanders understand this need and hence their effectiveness is affected. Commanders should try to simulate the results of the plan so that they shall not force their soldiers to become aimless.

Growth

We hear everyday from our leaders about the growth story of our nation.It is quite difficult for a common man to see the difference between 6.5% or 7.5% or 8.5% growth. His life is mainly concerned about his today's problems viz.: Food, Clothing, Shelter and so on. If this growth of few more percentage points is converted into little better food, clothing or shelter for him or for his children he would understand the meaning of Growth.

However, people claiming the higher growth rates are busy in their personal growth far exceeding the growth rate claimed whereas the common man is suffering from the far higher inflation rate especially for essential commodities.

When will this change?
